Milwaukee mattress franchise files for debt relief
Six Verlo Mattress Factory Stores recently filed for chapter 128 debt relief. Chapter 128 debt relief is a bankruptcy alternative that helps Wisconsin residents and businesses minimize debt.
The Milwaukee-based mattress retail franchise requested debt relief in the Milwaukee County Court earlier this month. The six stores’ two owners, Greg Gardetto and Mike Murphy, operate locations in Racine, Kenosha, Brookfield, Glendale, Menomonee Falls, and Greenfield.
Verlo has stores in seven states and 20 other locations in Wisconsin that are not included in the chapter 128 filing. If court officials approve a sale to Marcus Investments, the six Verlo stores can continue operating under the same name.
